Teen Shot in LaGrange; Suspect Vehicle Pursued to Louisville
A 16-year-old male was shot at a residence in the 1600 block of Betances Court in LaGrange, Kentucky, on Saturday afternoon, according to the LaGrange Police Department. Oldham County Central Dispatch received a 911 call reporting shots fired and an injury at approximately 4:11 p.m. on April 11, 2026.
Officers arriving at the scene found the juvenile with apparent gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported that three individuals fled in a black Chevrolet Malibu. Oldham County Police located the vehicle traveling south on Interstate 71 and initiated a pursuit that continued into the Louisville Metro area, ending near Vermont Avenue in Louisville.
A male occupant found inside the vehicle at the end of the pursuit had an apparent gunshot wound. The other occupants had fled either during or at the conclusion of the pursuit. The injured juvenile was transported from the scene by Oldham County EMS to the University of Louisville Hospital for medical treatment.
The LaGrange Police Department, with assistance from the Oldham County Police Department, is investigating the incident. The case remains ongoing.
